Assemblies & Collective Worship
At our school we believe that collective worship provides and opportunity for our community to meet together in a variety of contexts. We hold daily assemblies which include the whole school, class and a house assembly. All staff lead these assemblies. Children also lead assemblies.
Our assembly time is used to explore our own beliefs and discuss spiritual and moral issues. It also provides an opportunity to develop the children's confidence by letting them express their thoughts, views and feelings. We celebrate their learning and achievements, special days, people and places, sporting events and singing. Different faiths and cultures are represented.
Should parents have any reason for wishing to exclude their children from assemblies please discuss this with the headteacher to ensure we are aware of your wishes.
